ConsumablesMoisture and saliva separator as accessories for the protection of the Ozonytron device

While using the plasma-mouthtray for germ elimination or teeth whitening, excess plasma together with secretion (e.g. blood, pus and saliva) are sucked off from the oral cavity. In order to prevent the contamination of the Ozonytron device with subsequent equipment failure, collection containers are connected between the plasma-mouthtray and the suction port on the Ozonytron device to filter out secretion and residual moisture.

Saliva Separator (SAS)

Saliva Separator (SAS)

The saliva separator is connected via two silicone tubes directly to the suction openings of the plasma-mouthtray. With proper handling, the SAS prevents the contamination of the device and the subsequent device failure by capturing the secretion that has been sucked off. The SAS is transparent and allows for an optical check of the filling level. Before the complete filling with secretion, the SAS must be exchanged for a new one. The old SAS must be disposed of as medical waste, must not be reprocessed and must not be reused. In general, the tubes and connectors of the SAS must be disposed of as medical waste after each patient and replaced with new ones.

Moisture Separator (FAS)

Moisture Separator (FAS)

The moisture separator is connected to the saliva separator and the suction port of the Ozonytron device with one silicone tube each. It serves as a filter of residual moisture in the sucked off plasma and must be replaced with a new one every five hours of use or after a notification by the Ozonytron device. In order to prevent the contamination of the device and the subsequent device defect, the continued use of a saturated FAS must be avoided.
